Think about a food from your own culture that you find disgusting, unusual, or simply refuse to eat. What is the food, and why do you dislike it? Is it something that other people in your family or culture enjoy? Explain why you think certain foods can be considered delicious by some people but disgusting by others.

I refuse to eat a cooked carrot. I can eat raw carrots everyday but when its cooked oh god no. I've tried it over and over and i just throw up its so disgusting. Another thing i don't like is milk. I dont eat alot of dairy as it is or protein so my bones are really weak. Because of it i have to take pills because someone has stepped on my foot and it broke. :(

If you could share one dish from your culture or family traditions with someone who has never tried it, what would you choose? What would you want that person to understand about you or your culture through that dish?

I think i would want to share fruit. It's not a tradition but i don't really have one. I think one thing everyone could love is fruit! it's hydrating, refreshing, and a yummy treat. It's a feeling that makes you feel healthy like eating a salad but tastes sweet like a treat.

Prompt: Now that we have finished reading Fences and you are completing your final project, reflect on your overall understanding of the play. Which character, conflict, or theme has stood out to you the most, and why? Explain how your project represents what you learned about the play.

Rose stood out to me the most in every way. Her past and present was so devastating but yet relatable in real life because that could truly be someone else's life.  she went through a past of sin but found something to believe in and look forward too. Even after building a life with someone she trusted and loved even he betrayed her and caused her to lose respect but she had ever right to do so. Cause she couldn't leave she blocked him out basically till he died.

Prompt: At the end of Fences, forgiveness becomes an important part of the characters moving forward. Do you think forgiving someone means you also have to forget what they did? Why or why not? Connect your response to your own experiences or observations.

I feel as though when forgiving someone for their wrongful doing you dont have to forget the wrong they did. Some people take it as a lesson or "moving forward i will never do this". From my own experience i have experienced years of abuse mentally, physically, and verbally while as though i dont forgive what happened i feel as though if i ever came to terms to do so i couldnt ever forget because of the trauma i endured.

Before watching the movie clips, you probably formed your own picture of the characters, their personalities, and how certain scenes would look. Choose one character or scene that appeared differently in the movie than you imagined while reading. What was different, and did the movie change how you understood that character or scene?

I had a different image of corey in my head. I thought corey would be stronger or even so taller. When i saw the film of him it was a little disappointing. Also rose was bigger i lot she would have more of a petite imagining. The vocabulary like powder up and corey wanting to do sports creating that imaging.

Troy’s revelation changes his relationship with Rose. Do you think one major lie or betrayal can permanently change how you see someone, even if you have known and trusted that person for years? Explain your reasoning and how trust can or cannot be rebuilt.

One major lie can change someone perspective. When a person lies its a deception of a view that they had of that person. It changes weather that person can trust you again or not. Its that the person has lost respect or lost the view they saw of that person beforehand and doesn't know how to move forward.

In Scene 4, Troy explains his beliefs about his responsibilities as a father. Beyond providing food, clothing, and shelter, what do you believe a parent owes their child emotionally? Should love, encouragement, friendship, and support be expected, or are those things separate from a parent’s responsibilities? Explain your perspective.

I believe a parent owes their child open ears. A parents doesnt have to agree with what the child says but a parent with open ears keeps a strong relationship cause the kid knows they can talk to the parent. Some parents goes by different rules not everyone has the same beliefs. A parent is fine as long as its not emotional abuse, because that's when it can mess with a kids head and cause a child to linger into the wrong groups.
